sacerdos
Sacerdos is Latin for a priest; sacerdotis means of the priest.
Sacerdos is the general word for a priest. It does not by itself say which post the man held, unlike parochus (parish priest) or capellanus (chaplain).
It can name any priest who performed a baptism, marriage or burial. The BYU list of common phrases gives sacerdos as priest and clericus, a wider word, as clergyman.
