Marts
Marts is the old Dano-Norwegian spelling of mars, "March"; Norwegian church books written in Danish often date entries to Marts.
Danish still writes marts, a form Wiktionary suggests may show the influence of German März, while Norwegian and Swedish say mars. NAOB quotes the 1800s poet Henrik Wergeland writing "Norges marts" for Norway's March.
The other months in old records are close to English and to modern Norwegian, which FamilySearch lists from januar to desember. A date such as 3 Marts 1849 is simply March 3, 1849.
