Begraven is Swedish for "buried"; in a death and burial book it gives the burial date, abbreviated begr. or beg.
Begraven is the past participle of begrava, to bury, and begravning means burial. Swedish parishes kept burial books (begravningslängder) or combined death and burial books, with the death date and the burial date in separate columns.
If only the burial date survives, the person died a few days before it. Copy the date as a burial, so you and others know which event the source recorded.
