dödfödd
Dödfödd is Swedish for "stillborn": a child born dead, noted in the birth book and often in the death and burial book as well.
A stillborn child could not be baptized, so the entry usually gives no first name, only dödfödd with the sex and the parents. The child may be listed in both the birth book and the death book, or in only one of them.
Stillbirths matter for counting a mother's children and for explaining gaps between births in the household roll.
