puer

Puer is Latin for boy or child, often used in baptism and burial entries for a young boy.

Puer means a boy, roughly from early childhood to the teens. Burial registers use it for young children, while infans is used for babies.

In some records puer also means a servant boy, so check the context if the child is not listed with his parents.
